Yes, there is certainly a skill involved.

Your best best bet is to carefully follow tutorials, perhaps join online forums and ask questions, network and find somebody you can ask, check out YouTube tutorials.... and above all practice, practice, practice!

Practicing CAD exercises and tutorials will help quickly build competence, confidence and speed.

Good Luck on your CAD journey - they are great skills to have from an employability perpective and CAD work is extremely fulfilling and satisfying.
