Meet the Director Manufacturing Specialist... Mark Lynch, CEng CMgr FIMechE FIET

25+ Years of Real Shop-Floor management and Engineering Design experience. Helping people realise their potential and assisting businesses compete and scale. Whether you are trying to squeeze more profit out of a frantic small-business machine shop, or trying to figure out how to fast-track your engineering career without burning out—I built this platform for you.

Whilst respectful of academic rigour, I deal in execution. For me, it is all about rolling up your sleaves and getting things done.

From the Shop Floor to Engineering Business Leadership, I spent more than two decades in the trenches of small-to-medium manufacturing (SMEs/SMBs) and R&D teams. I have lived the exact positions you find yourself in today: moving fluidly between hands-on engineering design, lean manufacturing implementation, technical project management, and operational team leadership. I’ve operated in the automotive and the pharmaceutical supply chains, process and automation machinery, instrumentation measurement equipment, plus machine shop management for sensitive government projects.

My entire track record was predominantly built within resource-scarce, fast-moving smaller businesses. I know what it means to be directly responsible for driving tangible improvements in raw production practices, fixing outdated product development processes, and modernizing physical manufacturing facilities under a tight budget.

Today, I manage a portfolio of companies—helping them drive true business growth by successfully commercializing R&D and delivering brand-new technologies, services, and products tomarket. • Chartered Engineer (CEng) & Chartered Manager (CMgr): Dual gold standard accreditations proving hands-on technical and business leadership excellence. (CEng is the UK and international equivalent to a US Professional Engineer / PE license).

• Elected Fellow: The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (FIMechE) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (FIET)—the highest tier of international engineering distinction.
